Masters of Linen - a sign of quality

Lapuan Kankurit is the first Finnish weaving mill whose high-quality linen textiles have been accepted into the valued company of European Masters of Linen textiles. The international organisation granting the Masters of Linen hallmark is based in New York and Paris and acts as spokesman for quality European linens.

Only the best linen products, such as the textiles made by Lapuan Kankurit, can earn and carry the Masters of Linen hallmark. The Masters of Linen hallmark is granted to linen products manufactured in Western Europe using environmentally friendly growing and spinning practices. The products must also be manufactured using linen thread of sufficiently high quality with regards for example colour fastness and laundering durability.

For the consumer, the Masters of Linen hallmark discloses the composition of the product. Our 100% linen textiles are manufactured using long staple linen. Halflinen textiles and linen terry are made of cotton and long staple linen. The Masters of Linen hallmark testifies that Lapuan Kankurit focus on quality and design to create modern linen textiles for Scandinavian homes.
