Read more about this product

In her own studio, Dora Jung also designed small damask table linen for various purposes;  for exhibitions, works of art at home and small table linen. The best-known of these are ROSE, ANEMONE, and PRINCESSES.

As in all her work, she broke against tradition here as well and designed a completely new type of linen. The themes were often well-known Dora Jung favourites – nature, birds, and flowers.

Dora Jung designed ANEMONE, a small tablecloth with refined colours in a Japanese style, in 1961. Anemone differs from traditional table linen in its shape because Dora Jung felt that a square cloth is more beautiful on a round table.

This product is made out of 100% linen. Ecological flax is grown in Normandy, Europa and it is traceable 100% european Masters of Linen long staple linen yarn. All yarns are spun as well as dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and fulfil the ÖKO-TEX certificate requirements.

Our strategy is to be responsible for the whole production from yarn to readymade products. Main part of our whole production is made in our own weaving mill in Lapua.

Product development, material purchases, programming of looms and design as well as warping, weaving, finishing and fabric inspection is done in Lapua in our own weaving mill. Sewing is mainly done in our own subsidiary sewing company in Lithuania or our own weaving mill in Lapua. Accessories come from Europe, mainly from Finland. Country of origin is Finland.

Care instructions

Wash linens at 60°C on a gentle cycle. Do not spin. Wash separately with plenty of water. 40°C is also an adequate wash temperature. Do not use softener and avoid bleach. Reshape and dry on a round beam or surface, not in a tumble dryer. Linen textiles will dry quickly, remember to iron when the fabric is still damp. The colour of natural linen becomes lighter with washing. Shrinkage approx. 7%.
